College of Nursing was established in 2018, in the premises of GitaRam Multi-specialty Hospital at Berhampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal.  Two courses were inaugurated, the first one is Bachelor of Science(Nursing) and the second one is Post Basic Bachelor of Science(Nursing).

The B.Sc (Nursing) course is being launched by the college to prepare clinical nurse practitioners. 

The purpose of the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program is to provide advanced training and good nursing education with an emphasis on educating student nurses for the fundamental health of people living in the community and satisfy the needs of expanding hospitals and nursing homes.

The graduate program aims to give the country’s qualitative communication and interpersonal interaction skills in the field of nursing education and skills, to achieve leadership qualities, and decision-making capabilities, to satisfy increasing hospital/personal health needs.

• Beginning of The Course : 

• Age limit (as on 31.12.2021): 

  • The minimum age for Admission shall be 17 years.
  • Candidate must be Females
  • Educational Qualification :
  • The candidate must pass (10+2) level Examinations from any recognized Board with Science(Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English(Core/Elective), minimum agreed marks should be 45%

• Seats: 50 seats
• Beginning of The Course : 

• Upper age limit (as on 31.12.2021):

  • There is no upper age limit for a candidate who is presently employed in a private Institute.
  • For candidates presently employed in Govt. For Institutes, the upper age limit is 53 years unless special permission is obtained from the DHS/JS(N)/Secretary(Nursing)/Higher Authorities.
• Educational Qualification :
  • The candidate must pass (10+2) level Examinations from any recognized Board & must pass the GNM course and obtain a Registration/RERM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any state of India. 
  • Positive execution in joint passageway (JEPBN) assessment led by the college.
