Course Name: General Nursing and Midwifery
The GitaRam School of Nursing was founded in 2018 on the extended campus of the GitaRam Hospital in Berhampore, Murshidabad. The Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course is being launched by the school to prepare clinical Nurse practitioners, which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and West Bengal Nursing Council(WBNC).
The duration of General Nursing & Midwifery’s 3 years is divided into theoretical training, and six months of compulsory internship. This is appropriate for anyone who wants to aid sick people and doctors in different hospitals.

3. Age limit (as on 31.01.2021):
- Candidate minimum age 17 years & Maximum 35 years.
- Candidate must be Female
4. Nationality
- She ought to be a resident of India.
- She will be a resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for no less than five years
going before the date of making the application for admission to the preparation Academy. - The Residential Certificate ought to be given by a Gazetted official/MLA/Zila
Parishad Sabhadhipati/Mayor of Municipal Corporation.
5. Education
- H.S (10+2) Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board/Council with minimum 40% marks in Aggregate.
6. Instructions
- Imprints acquired in the professional or extra subjects won’t be considered.
- Application form to be filled up in candidate’s own handwriting as per proforma. Every one of the sections ought to be appropriately filled up.
- The application should be accompanied by attested photocopies of all the documents.
- The accompanying archives are to be submitted :
○ Mark sheet of H.S examination or equivalent examination.
○ Age evidence testament Admit card or declaration of Madhyamik assessment or comparable assessment.
○ Five recent self-signed passport-size photographs must be duly attested in which one is affixed on the top right-hand corner of the application form.
○ Two photocopies to be provided of the scholarship document (if any student is availing).
7. Accommodation of Application
- should be submitted to the Principal of GitaRam School of Nursing.
8. Medical Fitness
- Candidates should be medically fit.
9. Determination Procedure
- Merit rundown will be ready as indicated by marks got in H.S., Viva & written examination.
10. Vacations and Holidays
- according to standards set somewhere near West Bengal Nursing Council.
11. Assessment
- A Candidate will be qualified for admission to the assessment as the standards set somewhere near the West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
12. Registration
- The students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the W.B.N.C. as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
